Rising need for energy - rising prices

The environment and climate protection is one of the greatest challenges of our time. Energy generation from regenerative sources such as wind, sun and water make an important contribution towards this.

But it is only when the financial interests of those involved are taken into consideration that environmentally-friendly projects have a chance of being permanently used. Our goal is thus to harmonise ecological and economic principles at all times.

Our sense of responsibility towards people is also reflected in all areas of our business activities. By working as a partnership, through open communication and fair communication, we win the trust of all those involved in the project.

Realistic project planning ensures solid growth for us and our partners.

An alternative with a future

Wind energy will increasingly become part of our energy supply in the future. As the only regenerative form of energy, it has both sufficient potential and increasingly strong economic viability compared with other energy sources.

Fluctuations in energy supply are compensated for on an interregional basis and a base load can be provided Europe-wide by wind energy. As an independent planner and operator, Volkswind holds a leading position on the German market. The company’s current wind farms provide a sound basis for developing new projects. Project plans for Germany have already been drawn up for the next three years.

Further room for growth could potentially be offered by offshore projects (wind farms located in the sea). However, publicly accessible studies and our own analyses have indicated significantly less economic viability compared with wind farms constructed on land as the electricity needs to be transported over very long distances. Construction, maintenance and repairs are more complicated and thus more expensive to carry out, which would only be compensated to a very low degree by higher energy revenues.

We are thus clearly focussing on planning and developing onshore projects.
